~Happy Thanksgiving & Class Schedule~
The year is winding down and rusty leaves mark the ground with a reminder the holiday season is now upon us. This week is the that time of year we love to watch “Home Alone,”and “A Christmas Story,”

This week is a time to avoid your local market if you haven’t been assigned a cranberry concoction to bring for Thanksgiving.
Or you might be on your own watching the newest holiday movie in the theaters. Maybe you are skipping the turkey and are on an exotic holiday. Maybe you are having a ‘Friends-giving’ or going home to see your family. Or, maybe, you have just celebrated a Thanksgiving dinner with new friends a yoga studio, just like I did. Whatever the scenario Happy Thanksgiving from Carlsbad Village Yoga Studio. We wish you safe travels, delicious food and a wonderful holiday weekend.

The late, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, shared these wise words that capture the essence of the studio’s Thanksgiving party: “One can never pay in gratitude; one can only pay ‘in kind’ somewhere else in life.”
Candy, the owner of the studio, organized the party, bringing those she loves by paying in kind in somewhere else in life. So did each person that attended by adding their presence and organically setting the mood, as the sun dipped down behind the buildings in Carlsbad Village.

I felt like I was inside a Jimmy Stewart holiday film, as I mingled in and out of circles with other guests. I felt inspired by the ‘kind acts’ I observed that Sunday evening. From setting up the tables, to locating chairs, utensils, drinks, finding plates and even carving a second turkey for the after party crowd. As I was leaving, my heart sang just a wee bit when I noticed most of the bread I had brought for a side dish was almost gone. Maybe I had paid ‘in

kind,’ too. I walked back to my car feeling warm and cozy from such a magical evening.
Thank you Candy!
